St. Louis, MO - We're looking for a registered engineer with experience leading and managing a mechanical engineering staff. The person will be responsible for the goals, objectives and development of their team. In addition they will work on long-term planning, coordination with marketing and business development team and assist in the growth and profitability strategies for the firm. This person will oversee the Mechanical/HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection Departments.
Short summary of work duties and functions
This person will work with project managers to establish fees, budgets, schedules, staff projects, resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and monitor performance for projects and client satisfaction.
He or she will interact with project managers and other discipline directors on a weekly basis to review coordination, schedules, and performance.
They will review and analyze financial goals for the department including billing on all projects.
They will demonstrate and encourage through action, the need among team members to clearly communicate the requirements for scope, schedule, and budget for each task.
The Director provides necessary direction for planning the activities and work of the department. Organizes, develops and integrates the necessary talents and efforts of the business units, across multiple offices.
